Presentation Reflection

By Bryan Zhao

Content Accuracy

We scored a 5 because we had all requirements presented, and all topics had been discussed. For example, we had all 5 halogen elements, and their introductions on chemical and physical properties, and common compounds and applications.

Design and Creativity

We scored a 3 because we did not have many colors, creative graphs or forms when presenting. For example, we have all information presented, but not excellently organized with colors and varies shapes when presenting the functions of these elements (which was completed by me).

Organization and References

We scored a 5 because our type of presentation, PPT, was appropriate, and we presented our information following the order of elements in our group, and we had references at the end of our PPT. For example, when introducing Iodine, we first introduced it physical properties and chemical properties, and then its compounds and functions, and then another element. Those information were set in order logically.

Graphics-Relevance

We scored a 5 because we have all questions in our PPT, and the answers could be found. For example, my question ” what do these elements’ functions have in common”, we can easily find the answer from the dark-colored pages concerning functions and applications.

What We Did Well

This time, we assigned our work to each of us, and we all did it well. We had background music, which made the whole presentation dynamic and attractive.

Possible Improvements

Next time, better organized presenting system may be used. For example, we can shorten the properties into phrases or labels with different colors in order to shrink the information in our presentation. Meanwhile, more creative form may be used, such as videos and pictures.
