Nowadays, people are paying more and more attention and money on clothes selection and collection. The owner of a small but famous clothes store wants to know the trend of clothes selection and the most fashion color collocation in recent years, so we could design a spreadsheet for him which represents the data of different clothes sold in his shop to help he to analyze the trend.
When we came up with this idea, we thought that this circumstance is actual, and could be easily applied in reality. When solving the problem, the color of different clothes should be regarded as the input, and the trend that are automatically generated should be regarded as the output. To make the solution, I discussed the situation with my teammate, Sabrina, and made a list of all those fashion and popular colors recently. Then we put those kinds of clothes and colors in order in different pages of the spread. Finally, we created a final page to present the final trend. Through inputting all the information and reading the conclusions, sellers could easily find out the trend of recent color collections. When applying the input data, the sellers could easily input the number of each colors that each season sells.
This spreadsheet has 5 pages, which four of them are data collected from daily sale and the last page is the conclusion page, where we can get the final results and suggestions. In each page of data, the amount of each color of different clothes sold in a season are presented, and for real circumstance, the owner may simply input their actual data. After inputting those data, we the spreadsheet could automatically calculate the sum of each color sold in a year and compare them with other colors in that year, and get a most fashion color in that year for that specific type of clothes. After all the favorite colors are generated, concatenate function is used to gather all the conclusions together and form a final conclusion in the final page. In this page, we can read the conclusion in natural language.
From this project, we reviewed and practiced the spreadsheet skills and the abilities on finding out certain problems and solutions. Next time, when writing the conclusion page, we could write the conclusion page more intelligent, by writing more if functions.
